FAQ
What is BLOX?
A training app for your phone and for TVs with Android TV or Google TV. Tell it how you feel and how much time you have – BLOX builds a workout: Fitness, Bike, Stretch or Calm.
Does BLOX work without a TV?
Yes. The whole workout also runs on your phone alone (Android and iPhone), with Stickfreed, announcements, voice coach and camera coach.
Can my watch provide the heart rate?
Yes. Garmin watches send it via “Broadcast Heart Rate” – BLOX for Garmin is coming soon to the Connect IQ Store. On Apple Watch, BLOX opens by itself when you train (in the iPhone app beta), shows the exercise and time left and sends your heart rate to your phone and TV. A chest strap always works.
Do I need a smart trainer?
No. With a smart trainer (e.g. Elite Direto, Wahoo, Tacx) BLOX sets the watts; on a spin or exercise bike you ride by heart rate and cadence. For Fitness, Stretch and Calm, a mat, dumbbells or your body weight is enough.
Can I watch Netflix, Prime Video or Disney+ at the same time?
Yes, that’s what BLOX is made for. Your workout stays visible as a small window on top of any streaming app, controlled from your phone. If the app reports its time left (e.g. Disney+), the workout lasts as long as the episode and pauses with it.
Does BLOX run on Xbox, Samsung, LG or Apple TV?
Fully, including the window over Netflix & co., on Android TV and Google TV. A stick for that fits any TV with HDMI (stick tips). On Xbox, Samsung, LG or a PC, open trainblox.com/tv in the browser and connect with the QR code: workouts, side by side for two and coach work there too, just without the window over your show; heart rate comes from the phone app. Samsung with Multi View: show large, mirrored phone next to it (“Mirror your phone to the TV” in the app) – fine for one person. Apple TV is planned.
Is there a training plan?
Yes, but not a rigid one. BLOX builds every workout fresh from how you feel, your time and the last few days, watches recovery by body region and your load (from “How was it?”), and progresses weights and exercises. With a goal like a ski trip it plans the weeks up to it.
Can two of us train together?
Yes: the same workout together, or each their own, side by side on one screen. Everyone controls their part from their own phone.
Do I need a phone?
Yes, as the remote: the BLOX app for Android or iPhone or, without the app, your browser after scanning the QR code on the TV.
Where is my data stored?
In the EU: Google Firebase in Belgium, coach and announcements at Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt. No ads, no tracking. Delete your account in the app with one tap (Privacy).
What does BLOX cost?
Nothing until 31 January 2027, the beta is free. After that €6.99 a month or €59 a year per household (everyone, every TV). Beta testers pay €49 a year for life.
Does BLOX replace treatment?
No. BLOX is training, not therapy. If you have complaints or pre-existing conditions, check with a doctor first.
