Zwift on your TV
Indoor training on the big screen is simply nicer. With Zwift, though, it depends a lot on which device is plugged into your TV.
What officially works
According to Zwift’s own device list, Zwift runs on Windows, Mac, iPhone/iPad, Android phones and tablets, and Apple TV. Apple TV is the official way straight on the TV – with the caveat that only a few Bluetooth devices can be connected at once.
Zwift on Android TV / Google TV
Android TV and Google TV are not supported by Zwift – the Zwift team has confirmed this in its own forum. Some people sideload the phone app as an APK anyway (e.g. on an Nvidia Shield); that’s unofficial and can cause problems at any time.
Samsung, LG, Philips
Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) have their own systems without a Zwift app. Philips TVs run Android TV/Google TV or their own system, depending on the model. The usual options: connect a laptop or tablet via HDMI, cast the screen – or use an Apple TV.
The alternative on Android TV
If you have an Android TV or Google TV device (built in or as a stick) and don’t need a virtual world, you can use an app built for it: smart trainer via Bluetooth on the TV, ERG mode, intervals – and Netflix, Prime Video & co. alongside.
Frequently asked questions

How do I get Zwift on my Samsung or LG TV?
